Ausencia

This work is a desperate pursuit to overcome the choreographer’s recent loss. Being present in her grandmothers last moments before her death left a huge wound hard to scar. Ausencia is an abstract representation of what she lived before, during and after the passing. Reflected in movements that range from intense tightening in the chest, breathlessness and suffocation to energetic leaps fueled by her despair and frustration.
